Cool boom mount. How much further past the end of your boom does it extend? Do you notice it much during sailing?

Its about 3 feet long. I made it from a piece of a carbon boom and some parts I got made with a 3D printer. I LOVE TECHNOLOGY!

You can order a set for yourself if you want. You just have to do a little DIY work on the boom segment to put your GoPro on the end.

The only time it seems to get in the way is when doing laydown jibes. It tends to drag in the water a bit. But I've done duck jibes with no problems.

I like it that way. I have never gotten catapulted since I moved it down.

But don't your legs tire from dynamically supporting your weight all day?
My rule of thumb for 35 years now has been Tired Legs => booms too low, Tired Arms/shoulders => booms too high.
I hear your "I like it that way", but there are better ways than doing half squats all day to avoid catapults.
