Speaking of buying a new boom, Big Winds has a sale tomorrow (Sat). Unlike their "locals sale", you don't have to be present to purchase.

Greetings boggsman1,

You know, I could just take that picture and print up (literally)
thousands and thousands (more than enough for my easily
offended friends), and still have enough money left over for
carbon booms.

That's capitalism for you, find a need and fill it ;*) in this case my
need for a good laugh. ;*) ;*)

-Craig

p.s. but it would violate my boycott of the brand in any form even a
counterfeit one.

p.p.s thanks for the avatar props

Well Craig.....if you bought just a few of these rare gems , it would cost you a brand new Chinook Carbon Boom, even if you have just 7 or 8 pals.

A boycott? They must have really got under your skin in a bad way. I've never owned a Chinook boom, but after Fiberspar spun-out, I've been dedicated to their mast bases, and in particular, their universals after they came out with the SS Euro-pin ones.

Hi Steve

I love Chinook Products, and am not boycotting them. Their stuff is tough, functions well, and their service is exemplary. I boycott the Trump Brand, which was not entirely clear in my message (though the counterfeit comment was a clue)

Craig,

Sorry that I misunderstood your earlier comment.

I'm totally with you about Chinook products. I've never had one of their products fail me, and I'm pretty tough on gear. I think that windsurfing has benefitted greatly with their involvement in the sport.

I'm totally with you on Trump too. The man is dishonest to the core and unworthy of any support..

As an aside, given how Elon Musk has conducted himself lately, do you view him as another character to potentially avoid into the future?

Potentially, sure, would it stop me from buying a Tesla, I'm not in the
market.

I usually run my vehicles until they rot, and with several late model vehicles
right now, there won't be any need to consider boycott for 10 years at
least (and Machete don't tweet). But.......my activist friends could
convince me to do the right thing for the environment(politics aside)
and buy a Tesla.........maybe.

Well well well. Referred with a recommendation, and evidence, to be prosecuted for four felonies. Not even Nixon was this crooked.

What a surprise, more tax fraud. More self-dealing.

House Chief Usher on Inauguration Day for helping Bidens move

Quote:

As the public learns more from the deep dives from witness interviews hosted by the Jan. 6 investigative committee, a closer look into the psyche of former President Donald Trump during the tense transition period after his November defeat and prior to the inauguration continues to be revealed. Trump's attitude extended all the way through Inauguration Day, with White House personnel being the victims of his harsh manner.

According to Axios, former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham testified to the Jan. 6 committee that Trump became incensed when he learned that the White House Chief Usher, Timothy Harleth, a former employee of the Trump Organization, went above-and-beyond his responsibilities to communicate with President Joe Biden's transition team to assist with the logistics for the Bidens move into the White House.

It is common knowledge that the outgoing White House administration and staff works with the incoming White House administration and staff to make the transition as easy as possible, in what is expected and supposed to be a political-free process. Trump wanted his administration and staff to blatantly ignore this tradition, especially the employees that he had ties to prior to serving as President.

Won't be prosecuted because political theater is just absurd. And you bought it hook-line-and sinker.
