You should have seen 'em!
Core Kalmus Sailors Peter and Marty, in their matching Inovation drysuits, got a full-on session in at my backyard Skaket.
Maybe 41F with dead-on-shore paint peeling conditions, they must of got at least 90 minutes in. This was no polar plunge exhibition. They did some real sail'n.
To go with my prehistoric Haut, I'll follow up with some flip phone pictures.
Well done gentlemen, I'm impressed!

The suits are Ianovated suits, Ron. Kept us nice & warm, and let us sail with open-palm mitts.
We were on the water for almost two hours. Started when averages were 28 mph, stopped because we were a bit overpowered when it picked up to 35, gusting to 44. Would have been ok on our 4.2/4.7 if the water had been flat, but it was high tide..
While having lunch at the Chocolate Sparrow, we noticed that the Hardings meter readings looked good, and drove over there for a second session. But the wind was not nearly as nice there, with lulls of 15 and gusts above 40 in the 50 minutes or so that we sailed. Marty has yet to see Hardings when it's great.
A few pics of Marty below.

One of us planed out of his jibes. Hint: it was not me. |

The last picture does not do justice to the conditions.
It was intense!

Ok found my phone --
Marty and Peter come'n along the shore with Seth's mug in the way. Who's Seth? My partner in crime at work, who moved to the gorge to sail, who degraded himself to kiting, who's now a Red Roof disciple that's got the Naish log with the taped up nose.
Look at the fin on Peter's board. I thought twice about doing it, but thought WTF. I used this picture in my construction progress report to all of the town officials. The Town Administrator replied back and wanted to know if that was "shark proof" equipment. HAHA, I guess he's got a little sense of humor after all!
