It is that time of year for the Gorge Windsurfing Awards. Nominations are now live and close this Wednesday (9/3) at midnight. Please submit your top Gorge Windsurfers by following this link: http://gorgewindsurfing.org/2014/08/2014-gorge-windsurfing-awards/
Voting will commence the following week and the winners will be announced at our end of the year party on Thursday, September 11th, 6-10pm at Springhouse Cellars. Other festivities include Grant Myrdal slide shows, live music, Where the Wind Blows premier (local kite and lifestyle movie), and more!
Hope to see you all there! Remember to nominate and then vote!
Thanks,
Greg

Nice poster but there is no "Springhouse Cellars."
There is however, a Springhouse Cellar.
Is it too late for the CGWAA to fix it?

I figured adding an extra A might help get the point across.

Most selfless...Sven Esslinger.. He consistently assists in harsh conditions. And he did so yesterday at Doug's with separated windsurfer/rig.
Most stoked...Robin Dickinson. REALLY getting into riding swell right now, mostly around Swell/Hatchery. It's nice to see a 39yo woman getting into this style with stoke! And it is genuine, not PR stoke.
Grom of year...Kayla Shurton. Although she might be over 18. Not sure about that. Anyway, she is Queen of the Hook after dominating her dad, etc. Oh, she also races with the big guys.
Windsurfer of year...GuyT with probably more sessions than anybody this summer and did not go off the deep end in a killing spree when horribly ripped off by scum at Viento State Park.
I don't know who got biggest air, but it was most likely the obvious on June 2: Dale Cook. I guess he cannot win it. So who got the 2nd biggest?

I'm really stoked about the party. Not stoked about an "End of the Season Party". We still have lots of great sailing left in this season!

Provided that "we" don't show up at noon at Stevenson on an Easterlie, because it is often the end of the party.
