The Barge has been towed to Stockton. As it was the locals most common lament was this thing was overpriced. Way overpriced. I guess back in the day It was a hangout for Airline Pilots.

All my years going to Sherman Island, and I don't know what you're referring to. Was it a floating restaurant? Store? Whorehouse? Was this by that little trailer park past the County Park, or maybe over by Three Mile Slough? Antioch?

Hi Spennie,

It's a sight familiar to all us local sailors on the Peninsula. It was the General Sherman. A floating restaurant and pickup place for women. Given it's proximity to SF a likely "man on man" market. It's gone now. At one time moored permanently between Coyot and Embassy Suites.

Here she is being towed into Stockton. Per the Article in the Stockton Record Shemo will continue life as a waterfront resty in Stockton.

They must be banking on there being more "talent" in Stockton.
