I'm just about to click on Reserve the condo for SPI, but am a little concerned with this Arctic pattern we have this week. Wind looks doable, temperature does not. I've sailed there during Thanksgiving week, had some great wind, cool temps in the 50's followed by high 70's (very little wind), and some rain here and there....all doable...but not in the 40's temp range (currently).
Can anyone shed some light on SPI's weather (temperature) for end of Dec early January?

I went there Xmas/ NY week once in the late 1990s, big mistake.
It was high 55 deg, foggy and no wind the whole week.
Been going to Maui instead every year since then. Wind chance is about 50% that time of year but even when it's not windy in Maui, it's warm 80 deg. Not much to do when it's not windy and cold in SPI. The nicest hotels are relatively cheep that time of year though. |
