Hi Gang,

The app for the WeatherFlow Wind Meter for Android was launched last night!

Get the app free at:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weatherflow.windmeter

And here is a video of our IT crew doing testing the unit: http://vimeo.com/74974334

And below is an image showing recent wind meter reports that customers all over the world have posted using iphone version of the Wind Meter app. Of course on a windalert.com page you can zoom in to see exactly where each report comes from.

Watch for my wind meter updates from the El Sargento, Baja Hot Springs downwinder launch site starting Dec. 2.

The number of Onsite Reports using the WeatherFlow Wind Meter is picking up now from both Android and iPhone users. Not just on WindAlert, we are now also displaying our crowdsourced data on Global.iWindsurf.com.

For example:
Modest wind this afternoon for Corpus sailors -- as evidenced by various weather stations, and one guy leaving an Onsite Report with one of the new Wind Meters:

It's an interesting idea.

I'm not sure I'll be holding my phone up in the La Ventana beach sandblasting, um, well, ever.

In light wind areas, where people are just wondering if that 140 liter / 8.5 is going to work or not, it could be great.

Assuming the reporting isn't hours old...

I have been using the android version for about a week , what a great addition to Iwindsurf this will be!!! Reliable readings along with a description of the
Conditions is a perfect combo. Gman/NorCal/NorthWave.
