Photo is from above at the cliffs, which makes it look smaller. 20' conservative. Also, agree, not nearly as gnarly as Maverick's, as it doesn't break hollow. Still, the boils in the photo tell a story and getting pounded at Rims or Vivians can be quite the adventure.

And no, the spot cannot (read should not) be named. Either you know it, or you don't and you figure it out. DO NOT sail here for the first time in winter. You WILL get pounded and lose all your gear! You need excellent lite wind skills, BIG BALLS, the ability/willingness to swim in large surf, and some respect for the place before you venture out on these kind of days.

From cliffs looks bigger to newbies, because they cannot delineate exactly where the flat water ends and the wave begins due to the shadow.
