Yeah, I was hoping the 70’s would be the new 40’s, but they aren’t.

At least you already learned how to wingfoil.
At 73, just foiling for 2 weeks and no foiling jibes, so 40 crashes a day....no biggie except needing to get up 40 times a day.....some days 60...

I'd settle for the new 50s, but they aren't.

Ended up Windsurfing with my SailSUP launching from New Brighton. Sailed by some surf breaks, but nothing was happening at any of them. The good waves from Hurricane Frank are over.
Sailed through the Capitola Anchorage while listening to the band playing at The Wharf House Restaurant. Sailed up to Privates and then headed back. Sailed by The Chardonnay before a couple of reaches in Shark Park looking for Great Whites. Did not see any. Then the Tour Boat "Velocity" came in and was looking for them.

A nice TI day today, nice swell developed inside about an hour after the ebb started. Still chasing the feeling of a super
Epic session on 8-2, but today definitely delivered the primo. What a sailing spot! 4.0/85

There were two windsurfers at Pleasure Point today. Wind was marginal so you can guess how the wind was at all of the other windsurfing locations. Even The Lake had a big dip in wind speeds midday.
I confess to being one of the two out.

Well got my 100th windsurfing session in this year today. Hit Pleasure Point again today. Wind a bit better than yesterday. Yesterday I caught 10 waves. Today 19. Only me out today windsurfing unless someone was out earlier.

Windfoiled Natural Bridges today. Am just learning so crashed about 45 times. Waterstarted about 3 times so the rest were uphauls. Seems difficult to learn at this age. Can one teach an old dog new tricks? Especially if the old dog is self-teaching? The future will tell.
The neat thing about Natural Bridges today was the wind had a gradient to it with it being about 6 knots near shore increasing to the high teens outside the kelp. No windline like it has had much of this summer. I could go out and pick which wind range amount I wanted and stay in that area. Worked well.
The kelp could be a challenge and was. The jellyfish were not too numerous.
All in all a fun session. Pic below:
