Looks like we'll get some nice NW winds tomorrow after the snow and rain (not much snow on the Cape, anyway). But wind forecasts in the high 30s for Hatch Beach would be a bit much for typical wave spots like Corporation or First Encounter, at least for us. So I was Google Earthing to look for something a bit protected, and noticed the big outer sandbars in Brewster. We walked around there at low tide once. The outer sandbars should be under 6-8 ft of water at high tide.
Has anyone ever sailed from Robbins Hill Beach (or another beach around there) near high tide in a NW?

Funny I just drove away from Robbins Hill landing a half hour ago. I was giving an estimate on a job. I had never been down to that landing before.
I would find it hard not to sail Corp. if it is blowing that hard. Anyone else willing to sail Corp.?

Wow Too hard core for me
For those with access to rotted 4WDs, SP 4 delivered some decent surf yesterday morning with near glass conditions. A few even broke at near chest height.
At the start, my truck thermo said 31F. 90 minutes + and very warm with a customized multi-layered neoprene 10/7/5/4/3 assembly. 3 proners and 1 other SUP'r made a cozy little group.
Enjoy, RC

Snow surfing for me. Snowboarding Wachusett on Friday. Hats off to Ron C for surfing and Jerry and company for going out in these conditions.

Snow boarding? Don't tell you insurance agent or you'll loose your AARP discount you hot sh!t!
I bet that surfing yesterday was a lower impact event than snowboarding.
