The tagged shark Genie has already "pinged" in. She went SE of Nantucket.

I see from the Ocearch website that you can name a shark for a $10K donation. Are we going to see an "Evans" or a new Team Abide mascot?

Certainly would blow the windsurfung equipment budget for many years, though.

I met the crew at the dock in Chatham this morning. They are really cool guys and were stoked when I gave them a "Welcome to Cape Cod summer home of the great white" sign. Chris Fisher literally took the shirt off his back and gave it to me. Brett McBride is a big wave surfer and the guy who does the scary stuff on board. Really cool talking to them all.
I hope they can tag a few more sharks. Today should be a good day for it.
What they are finding is that the sharks are closer to the shore most of the time( Shocked ) and they can only work no closer than 3 miles out.

That is so cool. Looks like Genie swam south and then remembered how many tasty seals there are on Monomoy and headed back north.

They tagged another one yesterday late in the day.
16 ft and 3500 pounds!!!

Anyone want to sail the Cut today? We could sail out to the Osearch and Jibe around it to say hi!!!

Cool ship tracking website... http://marinetraffic.com/ais/
The ship off Chatham listed as Ocean is the Osearch ship. I wonder if they are going to safe harbor to wait out this gale that is coming.

Track the sharks at this site....http://sharks-ocearch.verite.com/

Now there's a plan, train them to go after tasty rubber suits with food stuffed inside. Rolling Eyes
