Mitt $200 million net worth is small potatoes compared to Soros, Buffet, and Gates. (all obama supporters) He has always been a small to mid size business guy, and not a money changer.
He says he will label China a currency manipulator on day one. This one fact alone gives me hope that he will be a good president for America.

Insightful comments by Scott. The idea of sustainability grew out of the book "Limits to Growth", published in 1972. It was clear then that the US could not, with about 5% of the world's population, continue to consume 25% of the world's produced resources. Those who favor market economics were right in the short term; we have managed to increase our food supply (through government supported research) and energy supply, with fracking giving us perhaps a 60 year window of opportunity. But the increasing wealth and demand for consumer goods in developing countries is not sustainable, and increasing demand for production as the world's economy gradually improves will bend the curve for energy and metal costs upward rapidly. Obama may not have figured out how to involved the government productively in looking at these long trends, or selling that to the American public. But at least he doesn't have his head buried in the sand (or other places.) |

Bard,
Please educate yourself elsewhere, if you don't even know that "money changer" is a classic antisemitic slur. _________________ florian - ny22

Jesus was a Jew. If you follow my posts you'll find I'm rabidly pro Israel.
Sadly, that seems to be an appropriate metaphor for the powerful in
America. Didn't it used to be the captains of industry? Now it's the money changers. All we seem to do is push paper around.
America needs manufacturing jobs and cheap energy to survive. Not Itunes. |

Mitt is not, and has not been a small biz guy. Bain is a whale of a private equity shop, and Mitt made his millions exchanging debt for equity, equity for Bain, debt for the companies . I doubt Mitt would label China a currency manipulator in the unlikley event that he ever becomes president...its just talk. |

And that's why you want to elect a "money lender/changer" president?

America needs modern products for modern jobs. Not a time capsule to go back to a past in which there was no global competition. For that (and for a healthy democratic process) we need better education. You are exhibit A, Bard. _________________ florian - ny22

What do you expect from someone who consults Breitbart's site for insight? |
