Well, at least he did so to the extent that he could. Admiral Michael Franken commented on Twitter yesterday about his experience with Fox News and its broadcast to the troops in East Africa.

In the thread he implies that he was able to nix Fox, at least under his command. And he’s right (as we all well know): none of this mess would be possible without the divisive bile pouring out of the ring-leading “right”-wing “news” network. I had never thought about its noise being blasted directly at the troops. Explains much of the current radicalization of some (many?) of our military.

And, down in the thread, the situation is further described in an exchange with a “Westside Fireman”, who describes how Fox led to strife in the ranks...

In that thread are more examples of the constant, splintering Fox noise, not only in the military but in other government and public offices. It’s more than troubling. I had no idea of the pervasiveness of the propaganda.

If we make it through this current phase and get Biden+Harris fully installed, near the top of the list of priorities has to be somehow curbing, if not completely shutting down, the true cause of many of the U.S. troubles. The faux-news lineup including the likes of Spin Sannity, Liar Ingrown, Fucker Claptrap, and Poo Blobbs, must be reckoned with. If we could only put Skeletor (Rupert Murdoch) out of business completely…but that may be dreaming too big — at least at this point.

The task of eradicating the rot-wing diatribe is herculean. I don’t even know where to start, except possibly with a constant barrage of sponsor boycotts. Some sort of legislation, changes at the FCC, must be enacted. Hell, maybe even some sort of Constitutional amendment is in order, due to the insidious and widespread nature of the problem. (Unlikely to happen, even if it might do the trick.)

It’s funny — we almost need some sort of Ministry of Truth, but of a type completely opposite that found in the dystopian “1984.” Snopes and other online fact-checkers are a bit too scattered and lack any gravitas to sway the masses. Some sort of body comprised of members from science, government, business, and citizens that could lay foundational principles of truth and that could be an immediate source of fact-checking and even real-time assessment of informational accuracy. That, too, may be an idea “too big” and unwieldy to actualize. But something’s got to bring those who have strayed into the stupid-sphere back down to earth. If not, our post-truth world will likely become even more pervasive, ever more violent, and untenable to the point of complete collapse.

And on a final note, our current “president” is responsible for incitement of insurrection and sedition. But the rift-wing media has been stoking the fires and fanning the flames that Trump unleashed on the Capitol. They are nearly as guilty as he is, and should be treated accordingly.

Fox News has reportedly laid off at least 16 staffers. They include political editor Chris Stirewalt, who defended the network's Arizona election call that angered Trump.

Fox said the layoffs were part of a restructuring, but insiders described them as a calculated "purge."

Fox News laid off its political editor Chris Stirewalt and more than a dozen other staffers in what insiders described as a "blood bath," The Daily Beast reported on Tuesday.

The media giant has sacked at least 16 digital editorial staffers, including senior editors and people who had been at the company for more than a decade, The Daily Beast reported, citing a dozen current and former Fox News employees.

A Fox representative told Insider that the dismissals were part of an ongoing restructuring.

Stirewalt, who was laid off Tuesday night, had become a controversial figure among fans of the network after he defended its early projection that Joe Biden would win Arizona based on an analysis by Fox News' Decision Desk.

President Donald Trump was angered by the Arizona call, and his officials desperately urged Fox to retract it.

Stirewalt refused to reverse his support for the call, despite other Fox hosts' criticism of it. He has also turned his nose up at Trump's claims of election fraud.

Fox News told Insider: "As we conclude the 2020 election cycle, Fox News Digital has realigned its business and reporting structure to meet the demands of this new era. We are confident these changes will ensure the platform continues to deliver breakthrough reporting and insightful analysis surrounding major issues, both stateside and abroad."

But insiders told The Daily Beast that the decision was likely politically motivated as the network, owned by the media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, moves from news coverage toward more right-wing opinion segments.

"There is a concerted effort to get rid of real journalists," one former staffer told the publication. "They laid capable people off who were actual journalists and not blind followers."

some rich guy was flying protesters to attack america... where is the media covering this guy,, his name is not even mentioned. Can you imagine if Sorros did this or any liberal...

Jenna Ryan, Capitol Rioter Who Wants Trump Pardon, Said She Flew to DC Because of a 'Cute Guy'

Quote:
ATexas real estate agent who has been charged for taking part in the Capitol riot says she went to Washington D.C. because a "very cute guy" invited her to join him on a private plane to support President Donald Trump.

Jenna Ryan was arrested Friday and charged with disorderly conduct and knowingly entering a restricted area or remaining in any restricting building or grounds without lawful authority after an FBI investigation placed her inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6. In an interview with NBC News, Ryan explained that she traveled to D.C. after a good-looking stranger extended an invitation on Facebook on January 4.

"He was adorable," Ryan said. "And there was another adorable girl there, too, and they ended up getting together, darn it."

The decision was easy for Ryan, who supported Trump's baseless claims of widespread voter fraud and is single. "I always see all these MAGA rallies, so I said, 'Heck yeah, let's go,'" she said. "I mean, who wouldn't go and get on a private jet?"

Ryan shared photos to social media on the eve of the riots showing her traveling to D.C. on a private jet to attend planned pro-Trump protests. During the riot, she livestreamed herself among a mob entering the Capitol building. When she returned to Texas, Ryan shared further images of the incident and videos where she could be heard saying, "We're gonna go down and storm the Capitol."

The FBI used the social media posts as evidence of her involvement in the riots and subsequently arrested her.

"Of particular note is an image Ryan posted of herself to her Twitter account, which depicts Ryan in front of a broken window at the US Capitol building, with the caption 'Window at The capital [sic]. And if the news doesn't stop lying about us we're going to come after their studios next,'"officials said in a criminal complaint.

Ryan asked Trump for a pardon in an interview with CBS11 this week, saying "I think we all deserve a pardon."

and reporters first questions to Cruz and so on would be do they think life long republican Lawyer Conways oppinion piece should be followed that there should be 4 special prosecutors investigating trump ... but note they are not asking the tough question. right wing media as I said.

George Conway hands Biden's DOJ a roadmap to make sure Trump ends up in jail

Quote:
On Friday night, writing for The Washington Post, conservative attorney George Conway laid out the way forward to investigate former President Donald Trump for his criminal conduct in office now that he is a private citizen — and prosecute him where appropriate.

"Trump departed the White House a possible — many would say probable, provable — criminal, one who has left a sordid trail of potential and actual misconduct that remains to be fully investigated," wrote Conway. "A desperate fear of criminal indictment may even explain Trump's willingness to break any number of laws to stay in office despite losing his reelection bid, democracy and the Constitution be damned."

While President Joe Biden is correct to pledge to stay out of prosecutorial decisions surrounding Trump, wrote Conway, the Justice Department should not — and everything from the Russia obstruction of justice, to the Ukraine bribery scheme, to his attacks on the election and incitement of the Capitol riot, should be on the table to prosecute.

One important avenue, wrote Conway, is to follow the lead of New York prosecutors.

"[Manhattan DA Cyrus] Vance is running a state investigation, but if Trump has committed bank or insurance fraud, that would be chargeable as federal offenses as well, including mail or wire fraud," wrote Conway. "So, too, with state tax offenses, given how Trump's federal and state returns would no doubt track one another. Trump apparently had good reason to be concerned about who would fill [Preet] Bharara's old job."

Also important, Conway argued, is for future Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel — or, ideally, more than one of them.

"With Trump, there's so much to investigate criminally that one special counsel can't do it all," wrote Conway. "Could you imagine one prosecutor in charge of addressing Trump's finances and taxes, his hush-money payments, obstruction of the Mueller investigation, the Ukraine scandal, and post-election misconduct, for starters? It would be an impossible task for one team. One special counsel's office couldn't do it all, not in any reasonable amount of time, and it's important for prosecutors to finish their work as quickly as possible. Three or four special counsels are needed. Under the regulations, each would be accountable to the attorney general."

if this was a liberal it would be all over front pages of the media and this girl would be charged with witness tampering, and treason. But the media will not say this and the right wing are not all up in arms.

Prosecutors say the woman accused of stealing Pelosi's laptop is attempting a cover-up by deleting her social-media activity during house arrest

Riley June Williams, 22, is suspected of stealing Nancy Pelosi's laptop during the Capitol riot.
Prosecutors said Monday that Williams had been trying to cover her tracks while on house arrest.

Department of Justice prosecutors have accused Riley June Williams, the 22-year-old woman suspected of stealing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's laptop during the Capitol riot, of trying to cover up her tracks by deleting her social-media activity, according to Law & Crime and the NBC 4 reporter Scott MacFarlane.

In a court hearing on Monday, prosecutors also said Williams had been telling others to delete messages she had sent them, WHTM reported.

Prosecutors are asking that Williams be cut off from the internet while she's under house arrest, according to the reports.
The judge hasn't decided on the matter, as Monday's hearing ended abruptly because of a scheduling conflict with Williams' new public defender, Law & Crime reported. The hearing is set to continue on Tuesday.

At the hearing on Monday, US Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui called the allegations "extremely troubling" and asked why prosecutors weren't asking for Williams to be detained again, Law & Crime reported.

Williams was arrested on January 18. She was released from detention and placed in her mother's custody at their home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on Thursday. An FBI affidavit said that before the arrest, Williams changed her phone number and appeared to delete accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, Telegram, and Parler.

Williams faces four charges: knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds; aiding and abetting others to embezzle, steal, or purloin; and obstructing, influencing, or impeding any official proceeding.

The affidavit said that Williams' ex called the FBI's tip line in the days after the Capitol riot and said he had seen Williams in a video directing crowds inside the building.

He also said that friends of Williams' had shown him another video that appeared to show Williams taking a laptop or hard drive from Pelosi's office, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit described him as saying that Williams "intended to send the computer device to a friend in Russia, who then planned to sell the device to SVR, Russia's foreign intelligence service."

It paraphrased him as adding that "the transfer of the computer device to Russia fell through for unknown reasons and Williams still has the computer device or destroyed it." The affidavit said the matter "remains under investigation." The laptop's whereabouts are unknown.

In an interview with MSNBC last week, Pelosi said that she wasn't concerned about the theft of that laptop and that she believed it was used only for Zoom meetings. Her deputy chief of staff had previously said the laptop was used only for presentations.

Williams' previous public defender, Lori Ulrich, blamed her client's participation in the riot on then-President Donald Trump.

"It is regrettable that Ms. Williams took the president's bait and went inside the Capitol," Ulrich said, according to NBC Philadelphia.

watch this video so priceless...

A supercut released by “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” exposes the hypocrisy of Fox News’ attacks on rival news organizations’ coverage of Joe Biden’s presidency.

The montage shows how personalities at the conservative network heaped praise and fawned over former President Donald Trump throughout his time in office, often to his face.

But now Joe Biden is president, the same hosts claim other media is giving him a free pass.

“The tingling sensation up and down the media mob’s legs, well they are throbbing like never before,” prime time host Sean Hannity says in one bit about his claimed treatment of Biden.

It then cuts to him literally campaigning for Trump.

Fox host Jeanine Pirro sums up her network’s hypocrisy at the end of the video: “Wow. Double standard much?”

the friggen moron has a ABC radio slot across the usa, what liberal does?

Rudy Giuliani Fumes on Air About 'Insulting' Disclaimer Added to His Radio Show

Quote:
Rudy Giuliani was pretty incensed on his radio show Thursday after a disclaimer was added to the show during a commercial break.

WABC Radio inserted in the following statement before cutting back to Giuliani's show: "The views, assumptions and opinions expressed by former U.S. Attorney, former attorney to the President of the United States and New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, his guests and callers on the program are strictly their own, and do not necessarily represent the opinions, beliefs or policies of WABC Radio, its owner Red Apple Group and other WABC hosts or our advertisers.

"I would have thought they would have told me about that before just doing what they just did," Giuliani said after he came back on air. "Rather insulting."

Giuliani then tried to make the disclaimer some sort of free speech issye. "Gives you a sense of how far this free speech thing has gone. And how they frighten everybody. I mean, we're in America, we're not in East Germany. They got to warn you about me? I'm going to have to give that a lot of consideration. I also think putting it on without telling me, not the right thing to do. Not the right thing to do at all."

Naturally, he said this during this show, which absolutely had not been canceled, which was still being aired and which he was still allowed to speak on.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/fox-abruptly-cancels-lou-dobbs-tonight-a-day-after-trump-ally-is-named-in-multimillion-dollar-lawsuit/ar-BB1drggz?ocid=msedgntp

Fox Abruptly Cancels Lou Dobbs Tonight, a Day After Trump Ally Is Named in Multimillion-Dollar Lawsuit

Quote:
Lou Dobbs is off the air.

Lou Dobbs Tonight has been cancelled on the Fox Business Network, a company spokesperson confirms to PEOPLE.

The cancellation is part of programming changes announced last fall, the spokesperson says, though they did not give details behind the decision.

Dobbs' final appearance on the show was Thursday, and Jackie DeAngelis and David Asman will take turns hosting the show moving forward under its new name, Fox Business Tonight. A new permanent host for the same time slot will be announced at a later time.

A rep for the veteran host did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

"As we said in October, FOX News Media regularly considers programming changes and plans have been in place to launch new formats as appropriate post-election, including on FOX Business – this is part of those planned changes," the spokesperson said in a statement. "A new 5PM program will be announced in the near future."

In October, the company said in a statement, "FOX News Media regularly considers programming changes, including to its daytime lineup, and will launch new formats as appropriate after the election. These changes are being made independent of any other ongoing matter."

The news comes just one day after Dobbs was named in a lawsuit by Smartmatic, a voting software company that Trump's lawyers had baselessly accused of manipulating the election results.

Also named in the defamation case are Fox hosts Jeanine Pirro and Mario Bartiromo, as well as Trump's attorneys Sydney Powell and Rudy Giuliani.

RELATED: Fox News Anchor Debunks Trump's Vote Fraud Claims: 'False Claims Are an Insult'

"The election was not stolen, rigged, or fixed," the lawsuit, which was filed in New York State Supreme Court on Thursday, says, the Los Angeles Times reported.

"These are facts. They are demonstrable and irrefutable. Defendants have always known these facts," the suit reportedly continues. "They knew Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won the 2020 U.S. election. They knew the election was not stolen. They knew the election was not rigged or fixed. They knew these truths just as they knew the Earth is round and two plus two equals four."

The London-based company argues in the lawsuit that because of the defendants' spreading of misinformation, Smartmatic's "reputation for providing transparent, auditable, and secure election technology and software was irreparably harmed."

The Fox spokesperson tells PEOPLE that the cancellation of Lou Dobbs Tonight is unrelated to the lawsuit.

"FOX News Media is committed to providing the full context of every story with in-depth reporting and clear opinion," the company said in a statement Thursday. "We are proud of our 2020 election coverage and will vigorously defend against this meritless lawsuit in court."
