I wonder when the WHO will declare HDS (Humor Deficiency Syndrome) a pandemic.

There are many profound forces at work here Andy....
One of them is like maggot therapy. I don't know about other mods, but I like to leave up a topic that has tons of inflammatory nonsense. Once it has several pages of replies, everybody knows where to find, or avoid, the rotten meat. If I delete it, the flies lift off and land on actual relevant topics.
As to the fake profiles, well, some are more obvious than others. My vote would be to eliminate the free accounts, which would not only axe the nonsense posters, but all the Nigerian scammers trolling the classifieds as well. |

Sooo ... how do we sign up for these free accounts? "Free" sounds better than $195 or whatever it is any day.

Dont get rid of the free accounts!!!
It's what I use - and I'm not going to get a paying account until they get this website STABLE and the forcasts so that they represent real conditions.
They have some good ideas and technology, but the sensors often report false info due to bad locations, and the forecasts are usually way off from other services that I can get for free and real-time.
You guys on the forums are great though, very helpful and the forums are the only reason why I really visit this site anymore..
I suspect there are alot of people out there like me. So while a few give frustration, you'd see a loss overall, and for those like me that would pay if we saw a few things fixed, it would be a potential revenue loss to the company. |

I guess the fourms are the main reason I'm here. Its like the morning editorial page and the comics combined, with a windy perspective. And you can publish in both! Here in Berkeley, the forcasts are usually wrong...the green days are often the windiest...so that leaves the real time wind readings. Not really essential for me if I'm sailing Berkeley, as I have a nearby tree that tells me the local conditions. Real time is very useful though, when trying to decide between berk and Isabel. All in all its worth the bucks...
All that and isobars too!! _________________ /w\ |
