What characteristic identifies the person as "homeless?"

stevenbard--150% of market is not just wrong, it is woefully ignorant. When I left employment with the State of California I got about a 50% raise. That said, some salary cut is reasonable, and will probably be part of the final package.

You jump to a lot of conclusions with only a tenuous grasp of facts.

By Jason Method, Asbury Park Press
Sometimes the easiest way to find a job that pays well is to ask a wealthy relative to hire you.
For many, that relative is Uncle Sam.

Federal workers, on average, are paid almost 50% more than employees in the private sector, an Asbury Park Press analysis of salary data shows.

The average federal worker made $59,864 in 2005, compared with the average salary of $40,505 in the private sector, according to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

And that pay gap appears to have widened in the first nine months of 2006.

I put this in my letter:

Will you build a fence around the Parks and post Armed Guards?
You can tow cars, but not people. Just like Illegal Immigrants, you can't stop us The Public- ever. Arrest us, we will come back.

We will use the Parks no matter what. Can you build a FENCE IN THE WATER to stop us from using the BEACHES? That's police state stuff- that won't happen, easily.

I don't believe you will, and IF you do - it won't stop us - at all. Parks are not about Goverment providing. Nature provides. Government is mostly their to regulate and charge for regulation or a betterment. Human beings have been using open space and beaches since we swung from the trees, if you believe in evolution. I dare you to do it. Twisted Evil

I guess the Big Gov is going to close them now Exclamation

California Budget 101: Making sense of the state's financial meltdown:

http://www.mercurynews.com/california-budget/ci_12579720#interactive

Good weekend for sailing here in the Bay Area:

435 AM PDT FRI JUN 19 2009

AN UNSEASONABLY ROBUST...THOUGH DRY...UPPER LEVEL SHORT WAVE TROUGH
IS PRESENTLY APPROACHING THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST AND WILL
THEN MOVE RAPIDLY SOUTHEASTWARD AND THROUGH OUR DISTRICT THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. IT`S BRINGING WITH IT A SIGNIFICANTLY COOLER
LOWER TROPOSPHERIC AIR MASS...WITH 850 MB TEMPS PROJECTED TO DECREASE
AROUND 5 DEG C OVER THE NEXT 24 HRS. IN ADDITION...AS NOTED ABOVE...
THE MARINE LAYER WILL RAPIDLY REDEVELOP AS IT NEARS. IN FACT...THE
LATEST FOG PRODUCT SATELLITE IMAGERY SHOWS THE APPROACHING STRATUS
SHIELD ALREADY MOVING SOUTHEASTWARD THROUGH OUR NORTHERN OFFSHORE
WATERS. ALSO OF SIGNIFICANCE IS THE LARGE INCREASE IN THE ONSHORE
PRESSURE GRADIENT THAT`S PROJECTED TO OCCUR DURING THE DAY. BY
LATE AFTERNOON AND THEN CONTINUING INTO THE EVENING ITS IMPACT
ON THE ONSHORE WINDS WILL BE AMPLIFIED BY COUPLING WITH THE
STRENGTHENING WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT.
THE NET RESULT IS EXPECTED TO BE
INCREASINGLY BREEZY CONDITIONS BEGINNING ALONG OUR NORTHERN COASTAL
STRETCHES THIS MORNING AND THEN INCREASING AND SPREADING SOUTHWARD
DURING THE DAY. THE WINDIER PARTS OF THE SF BAY SHORELINE AND SAN
MATEO PENINSULA COAST...SAY LOCATIONS LIKE PILLAR PT AND SFO...
COULD WELL SEE GUSTS IN THE 35 TO 40 MPH RANGE BY LATE AFTERNOON OR
EARLY EVENING. AT PRESENT DOESN`T APPEAR LIKELY TO GET INTO
THE WIND ADVISORY RANGE...THOUGH GUSTS MAY NOT BE MISS BY MUCH AT THE
WINDIEST SPOTS.
