Brucie, you're one to talk. You set the gold standard for pontificating about your fruitcake whimsy du jour on these forums.

As for Boston wind, it's strongest when you pontificate the most.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I applied this "Pontification approach" to this session in Buzz Bay (Little Harbor) yesterday between 2-5pm. I pontificated every single second on the water and got really juiced up on a 6.8 in ~20mph average... Teeth grinding of a mix of fear & ultimate pleasure - GPS clocked 28.7mph in top speed... I am now pontificating my board, rig and the 2-3 hours of wind kindly offered yesterday... Smile After today's good forecast as well... cannot seem to see the next window of wind around Boston... Keep sailing, O.

orcovez, I, too, sailed yesterday afternoon. The wind tailed off with the sunset, though. It's good to see another pontiff posting about it. I think I might be stuck, now, however, as the mast I was using with my 9.6 broke. Let's pray that the pontificating winds have returned.

Brucie, if you're there, then the pontification winds are there.

Right now, those winds are pontificating at 19 Glory Lane.

This has definitely been the worst summer of sailing for me since I can remember. Every time I get a few days to windsurf there is just no wind. Was even up in Maine off of Deer Isle and for a week there was never enough wind to even justify rigging up. Rented a sailboat one day and got skunked out there for over an hour. Though I can say that the water up there was warmer than I remember and you could probably get away with a shortie during August .... if there was ever any wind!

Summer lasts for another three weeks. However, it would be great if the wind gods bless those who have slogged along with some rewards for their patience.

Therefore, you will remain among the unblessed.

And deservedly so.
