Josh Stone showed up late 90's also. I was at Kalmus one day when he showed up around 5pm. There was not much wind
probably a bit over 15mph. He bet a fellow companion he could jump over the jetty, that's right off the beach. He did it, took off, spun the board around in mid air, and landed tail first.
Quite a feat considering the lack of wind.
Was a real nice guy, talked to everyone on the beach.

Daida Moreno writes about Cape Cod in the book she co-authored with Nik Baker so I figure she must have been here at some time. It's pretty hard, though, to lure big name professionals to locations that aren't consistently windy.

The northeast needs a big racing scene to cultivate what most people would consider a pro, or an atmosphere wherein a pro would thrive. We don't have the waves, and (arguably) we don't have the wind.

Sort of a silly concept at this point in windsurfing history.

Jeezy Creezy, who the hell wants to be a pro anyways??? Lots of stress for all but a few.

Not only that, light wind Freestyle is a lot of time consuming work.
