beantownphoto, those are good shots though. I was wondering what lens/settings do you use for shots like these. I would imagine there would be some kind of market for your services. You could always do like they do at Disney parks where they take your pics and then offer them to you on the way out. Just one silly idea. I think what you did here would be a good start as far as getting visibilty though.

Ccoate....
These were taken with a Canon 40D, 70-200mm L series lens, and the settings were ISO 200, shutter speed 1/1250 on Av set at f/5.0. It was a cloudy day which for these shots was better than having lots of sun to avoid blow out and high contrast.
I photograph a lot of other sports, but having picked up the windsurfer again thought it would be fun to get some sailing action...sweet poster sized prints suitable for framing is the goal....looking also for speed photos with a blurred background and the rider tack sharp so they jump right off the page!

Yes, I think it is a great idea.
I used to race catamarans and there was a guy that did it at the big regattas. people loved it and bought pics to save digitally and also bought
prints too of course.
There is a way to post them onto a site so people can view and order.
I would support your business, I rarely get pics since I'm sailing or
all my buddies are too which I'm sure is the case with most other people too.
You could get together an email list of people that are interested or just
post on the forum that you took some pics at such and such a place
and post a link!
Count me in!
Email is:

Great idea, I was thinking on Sunday and Monday if I was a photographer
it would be a great part time biz to post pics for purchase on epic days.
Good luck and keep me posted,
Greg
