I'll probably be down there for a week or two with some friends...based in Avon but traveling up and down the island chasing conditions.

I'll be around when it's windy over the rest of the month whenever possible . Road trippin from Raleigh when the forecast for 2 days or more is wind .

I'll be staying in Avon or Frisco depending on last minute availability.
I know others from around who are looking to show up also . I drive a grey Toyota Tundra with a cap and rocket box on top , come say hey .

Looks like it is going to be pretty windy here late this week! Possible Nor'Easter in the forecast?!

Anyone going to be here this coming weekend?

I'm coming down. Arriving late Friday afternoon and staying through Sunday at Rodanthe Watersports and Campground with a buddy who is a "transitional" windsurfer. I want to sail the ocean if it's not too huge, and I might ditch my buddy for a while to do it. I don't have 4wd. Email me james(at)vims.edu

Well.... now it looks like it may not happen?! I guess the weekend will definitely be a "wait and see" setup.

Yea, anytime it is "Day 1" of a hard NE, old Lighthouse beach is usually the call. The wind swell is usually pretty small, so easy sailing in the ocean.
