At the risk of wasting cyber space, He's my forecast for the outer Cape.

If anybody is planning to sail in CC bay tomorrow, high tide is 2:30+-. You can easily get in the water to 5+. Last Saturday, I wrapped up a session 4 hours after high tide with a minimal walk in.

Did anybody make it out Wednesday morning? I got in a solid hour of 4.2 conditions before the fan shut off. The only thing that brought my grade down was the time wasted thinking the wind would pick up again.

Have a good weekend, RC

I'm really wondering about today's forecast. The cold front looks a long ways off to me, and it has to go past the
Cape for the winds to turn NW. I hope I'm wrong, but my guees is the winds will not turn NW untill much later than
predicted. Question

Iwent to Horseneck Beach hoping to find some waves. No luck with the waves but the forecast was dead on. I left the house in the late morning and got there right before the rain was supposed to turn off and the wind turn on. About 20 minutes later it did. Nice wind all afternoon!

Horseneck is good in a NW, is it? I was out Wednesday morning. In a west wind, you were probably sailing Skaket. It was rather gusty where I was, 10 m.p.h. between gust and lull, challenging to say the least. No sail was the right size. Partly for this reason, I blew off yesterday evening and took a long walk. Wednesday was my 45th Session in '07, I welcome the break as I need some time to heal.

Horseneck is side to side-off in NW. So it's a little gusty. It was steadier then I expected though. I planed about 80%. It would have been worth it with some smooth swell or waves to play in but otherwise I would prefer going elsewhere in a NW, (Chapin). Also, I don't sail in offshore winds very often. It makes me a little nervous. In this case I had a sailing buddy keeping an eye out for me.
