I rigged at 3 different locations but only got in a few runs for the entire day! The first location was pretty intense, waves, current, 50 mph winds. I got a few runs in but when the other 2 sailors left I packed up too. Then I went to West Dennis, rigged to sail on the inside, and was kicked out before I could step on the board. The strong southeast (onshore) wind had raised the water and waves. Water was washing across the beach into the road and it was 1 1/2 hours before high tide. It was pretty impressive. They closed the entire beach. So I went to Duxbury and rigged but was kicked out by the harbor master before I finished. What a day!

Bruce,
In general I have backed off, as your posts of late have been a bit more reality based...
BUT.....If you post re: Cape Cod, then dont REPRESENT. Guys on the west coast must think were all crazy.
1.) You have previously asked Knots vs mph....It was windy, but it was not 55 Knots.
most of the time the winds were 40 mph....55
knots it was not.
2.) I dont think the people of the first light were staring at you in amazement...they probably were trying to figure out how to get you off their pond....so are we.

My hat is off to anyone who had the ballz to go for it on Sunday. The wind comming across CC Bay was way-way too much for me. I did get a lunch time session yesterday in the Bay. Not as big as they forecasted, but good 6.0 conditions on my Naish 8-4. Thanks again Sailworker for the board!
