KC,
Enough with the sensible anecdotes, Mac's trying to make a point here. |

Isn't that a circular argument/statement? Isn't the far right ... of the GOP, the right wing, the Tea Party, of anything ... defined in part by racism, or some tangent thereof, just as the far left is defined in part by socialism?
The TP rallies I attended were 100% about less government and greater self-determination -- the nation's founding principles -- with no hints of racism. |

Well, I must say RR, when you discover somebody you dislike you don't allow your sunny disposition and peace to all mankind yearnings (earlier posts) interfere with your nail spitting antipathy, and indignation!
When I retired from teaching there were four confounded troublemakers (and three of them were staff) I'd cheerfully have rammed up the backside with a rusty pitchfork.
But I got better. hope you do too before steam and smoke start belching out of your ears. (And any other orifice of your anatomy. There are already too many who talk out of that!) |

No steam or smoke here. I find the majority of the political rhetoric I read here interesting, laughable, and shocking at the same time. It is not how the exchange goes here, I can tell you that much.
You must be correct, I am a trouble maker. That would be apparent by the number of threads I have started to troll for discord. Take a tally and get back to me on that observation. Feel free to stick your pitch fork in the appropriate orifices after you have reached your conclusion.
You know what I've never been? A wuss who stands in the background and lets overbearing bullies walk all over people. Thanks for noticing. Sorry if I call it as I see it.
Did you see KC and Isobars most recent posts? I think they may have made the similiar observations as I have somewhere along the line, and judging by some of the PMs I have received I'd say there are others who feel the same way. |

One guy from Ohio said supportive things about Teas and hates blacks, but wasnt a Tea himself. |
I'll be honest. I've never heard anyone say they "hated" another race. I have heard some call Mexicans "Beaners", which both piss me off, and my 16 year old Mexican son. Here he is on 9-11 commemorating the 2 fallen Mexicans on 9-11-01. He takes his heritage seriously. |

Show me a place where you scolded Isobars. A pattern would be better, but start with one. |

Good point Mac,
Are you referring to my defence of WMP when Isobars hurled some really off colour comments his way? I happen to have had the pleasure of making WMP's acquaitance. He's an awesome guy who is soft spoken with a great heart from what I experienced, but then you already knew that when I responded to your PM about the now locked out and removed thread. Your point?
Sorry I'm not here to mimic your pattern, but carry on. Perhaps you could carry on more on your solo thread regarding malaria. No takers? I wonder why. |

RR...
There was a time on this forum when you were expected to back up your opinions with credible sources. Anecdotes were O.K., if you had something of substance to offer once in awhile. Alas, that does not seem to be the case recently.
Some of us are playing by the rules with Mac's thread on DDT. I simply do not have anything constructive to add so why respond? |

Drive through Idaho and Oregon with your CB radio on. I would be afraid to do so if I were black.
I used to drive from New Mexico to the Gorge every summer. The CB chatter was all about Smokey the Bear (the primary reason, besides traffic alerts, to have CB) until I entered Idaho, and from then until I passed that same area (CB range is only a few miles) a few months later on the way home, all you'd hear was not just racist, but outright murderous, rage from truckers against blacks. Speak up in their defense, and you became a physical target of the truckers. My 8,000 van was no match against a semi or two trying to knock me off the highway. |
