BIG Surf and Wind for Hatteras Wave Fest 2008!!

What an event!!! Very Happy

We are well into Hatteras Wave Fest 2008, and I am quite toasted after 5+ days of wavesailing! The FreeForm sessions have offered participants the experience at some of our best Hatteras wavesailing locales including: North End Ocracoke, Hatteras Inlet, Izzy's Inlet, and East Point! NE 20+mph everyday, and 28+mph three out of the past 5 days!! Very Happy

On top of that, we have a monster wind and wave forecast for the later half of the coming week. Surf forecast is in the 10 to 15ft range (Hatteras style Shocked

), with strong ENE wind! Talk about world class wavesailing lining up?! The big question is how will the competition fare in these conditions! We have the Wave Challenge scheduled for the latter half of this coming week, and if the forecast comes to fruition, shall we say EPIC, with a contest to boot!?!?!

It may be "extreme" for the main competitor divisions, but for the "Beat of the East Wave Face Off" it will literally be "balls to the wall" all out Hatteras raging!!

If you are an expert/pro level wavesailor, this IS the opportunity to hit IT in Hatteras!! There is still time to register for the competition, and be on a plane, bus, SUV, or auto to be here from Wed (9/24) though the end of the week! Very Happy

For our part, up here on "the other Cape" (Cod that is....)
we are very grateful to you guys.....your system PUMPED some nice overhead swell today......we had no wind, just glass, but thank you just the same!
