No wonder she stuck with windsurfing. |
No that wasn't me (ha ha). I don't kite and I don't show my cans around the Gorge. Was that your kite she was crashing? Probably was. How many times you dudes re-launched her? You guys need to wise up. |

I think I saw that. You hit the nail on the head.
We call them groupies.
I don't go there unless I'm teaching. Seems the kiteboard marketing works for most idiots.
They do want to be cool.
Most of us don't even want to teach them anymore.
Same as any other groupie. |

Groupies or disciples? Groupies want some action. Disciples are willing to waste time to hang out in case hack kiter doesn't have his/her lines attached properly....
Attn former windsurfers gone to the dark side. If you see an old chum that's still windsurfing, don't bother asking them to help you launch/land. Esp. if they are still dry, and just getting to the launch site. Odds are we just want to launch ourselves, without help, and get sailing. Last thing we want to do is obligate ourselves to an undisclosed amount of time helping you launch, and possibly waste up to 10-20 minutes of our time. |

I think KB will surpass windsurfing in numbers. Mostly because their are so few places for high performance windsurfing(20mph+ wind speed) yet most places with water are good for kiteing(10mph+) the perfect example is the north coast |

I agree there might be more KB at some point but end up close to 50/50, windsurfings detriment is the learning curve, which brings on lack of appeal to the younger crowd. |

windsurfing does have a steep learning curve in the gorge or maui but in florida or texas or southern california it gets boring pretty fast. |
