Hi Tsokat, Billy has told me that story! It's hilarious! You have to laugh at golf because it's so ridiculous.
I was going to say, "Laughing at Billy's short putter", but I didn't want to incur his wrath. He tends to do a lot of tree trimming with his drives, too. Thank God he hasn't taken out any wildlife.

I think the aggression comes from the nature of the sport and also the demographics: Perhaps a bit of a power crowd from 25 years ago took up this very expensive sport. What makes it worse (as I see from reading the OLD GEEZERS thread in Norwest USA) is that an aging sport crowd is getting bored out there loitering near the launches in their old dog smelling (or old grass?) shorties. No challenge anymore. No babes. Nobody watching. Nobody even thinking it's cool anymore (as they are all looking at kiters -errrg!). I see the most aggression coming from the older lawn mowers overtaking each other, and not from the free-riders. Maybe the geezers should lighten up and try learning some new moves. That would help everything I think. And remember; gals like technique, not speed! |
