Saturday could be epic: North East winds in the 30's with a Tropical Storm groundswell. Ho'okipa conditions at the Chatham lighthouse. Anyone game? I hate to do it alone. If it's too gnarly, there's always Chapin.

Talk to me!

Dux sux, if it turns too North it's offshore, if it's too East you're in the hole. Shore pound gets huge, plus there aren't any seals... and the Harborbastard has the cross hairs on you. He'll shut you down on going outdside if it's Gale Warnings, no fooling!

Good luck guys, you will need it. Latest GFS forecast models show the potential for winds near 50 knots if not more on the Cape. Low will be around 975 MB by Sat PM. Chatham could be almost suicidal. I have never seen isobars so packed together in a long time.

Was planning to head to the Cape myself, but may seek refuge in more protected water in Narragansett Bay.

How about Plymouth Harbor? Duxbury was closed to windsurfing during the infamous Perfect Storm, ended up sailing Plymouth Harbor instead.

How about that beach over in Sandwich (Town Neck Road?) Is it any good?

Yeah, I draw the line at 50 knots and 30 foot seas....

I find that if the seas are too big, Chapin is the best bet, because the inside is shallow mudflats, and you can gradually challenge youtself the farther out you go.

You guys are nuts.

I plan to book-end the storm.

Friday 15-25 NE - I'll wimp out and go to Pleasant Bay for lunch
Sunday 15-25 NW - CC Bay, Skaket is too convienent for me although tide is not great

Take care, let's not read about you in the paper on Sunday AM.
