|

Saturday: NW wind in forecast for today, plus it's already (at 10:30 a.m.) warm in the valley...could combine for sure wind from either NW or SW?
Water was freeeezing yesterday. Fingertips getting semi-numb after 90 minutes of sailing. |

Epic afternoon on the secret road to Leo to catch some of NP's garaunteed, or your money back, wind! Almost nailed a skunk family crossing ILLEGALLY just before the PCH turn-off. I was so jazzed to come so close to to zapping four, count 'em, four of the little stripers at once... could these be the the infamous Wind Skunkies? Let's see, they were heading toward Leo, it was about the right time of day, but one thing was missing, they weren't carrying their laptop so they couldn't sucker us poor windhorny bastards down to the beach to have their evil way with us. No, these weren't the dreaded Wind Skunkies... that honor goes out to our own beloved NP!!! Why does it seem when epic wind is forcast either NP or Gregor piss off the wind gods by touting the possibility of big smiles on W/S's faces and ZAPPPP, it's in your dreams, better luck next time? So congratulations NP, the stair- birds at Leo this afternoon decided this was your day as the official Wind Skunkie!!! Bull |

I think the skunk hat still goes to dabull. Except for the absense of any rideable surf, friday was a very good day. Thanks to dabull for working late so that we could sail. |
