I am wondering what might be the best month to plan a Hatteras trip next year. For a 7 day stay, how many days can I get on the water with at least 15 MPH winds? What is your experience? |

Ive been going to Hatteras for yrs. While some months are more predictable than others you can get skunked in any season. The addage bring everything is true. A bike is really nice. There are plenty of Kyak rentals on the island. |

April for sure. Ive been going for 10 years in a row, 2 weeks every time and never even close to getting skunked any of the weeks. You should get at least 4 days if not more a week. The fall is a little more risky. Check out the old windgraphs for avon sound for April for the past few years. The meter there is dead on. |
