That was in early April. Hell, Ill be down to 7mm come May. And, yes, Im getting -- er, GOT -- old, but Ive always worn more neoprene than most people. Ive never sailed w/o neoprene (or The Bag) this side of Corpus Christi or Maui; it consumes too many calories Id rather save for sailing. I cant comprehend wearing a steamer in water this cold, from comfort, safety or endurance considerations. The water is still too cold for my hands; they get painful pretty quickly once they get wet while the air is still in the mid-low 50s, which it still is out on the river.
I seldom get to The Wall. I drive in from the east, and seldom drive past wind.
