I am planning a trip to the outer banks in october, and would like to rent a small house soundside. Question is, the realty companies that advertise these places ALL say that their properties have excellent windsurfing access. I know this is somewhat missleading. Does anyone have any advice in so far as specific properties or companies to look at, that will truely have EXCELLENT access/launch areas (e.g. dont have to make a huge trek through a muddy canal) etc... THANK YOU

I stayed at Sound Seclution, Outer Beaches Realty #329 in Salvo in 2002. Access as expected, right off the house (before Isabel but I assume it hasnt changed much)
Theres a couple of pretty new properties next to HISS in Waves, they should also work as advertised (I dont know the rental company of these). |

I prefer north Avon.
For late October this will be one of the best soundfront deals for a small house, IMHO.
discounted to $500.
Just step down stairs to the sound.

Non-bulkheaded or lower bulkheaded in north Avon are $1100-$1200. |
