The corporate tax cuts that President Donald J. Trump signed into law in 2017 have boosted investment in the U.S. economy and delivered a modest pay bump for workers, according to the most rigorous and detailed study yet of the law’s effects.

Those benefits are less than Republicans promised, though, and they have come at a high cost to the federal budget. The corporate tax cuts came nowhere close to paying for themselves, as conservatives insisted they would. Instead, they are adding more than $100 billion a year to America’s $34 trillion-and-growing national debt, according to the quartet of researchers from Princeton University, the University of Chicago, Harvard University and the Treasury Department.

The researchers found the cuts delivered wage gains that were “an order of magnitude below” what Trump officials predicted: about $750 per worker per year on average over the long run, compared to promises of $4,000 to $9,000 per worker.

The study is the first to use vast data from corporate tax filings to draw conclusions about the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which passed with only Republican support. Its findings could help shape debate on renewing parts of the law that are set to expire or have begun to phase out.

And so forth. Not a guru.

washington times, wasn't that the Korean cult leader of the moonies that use to pan handle at airports. Where it that hidden invisible liberal media?

anyway, remember trump had the Barr in-justice department and they again investigated Hillary... for how many more years before they stopped. They went after Biden's son when trump was president. not one grand jury indictment... trump ran on going after hillary and trump wanted investigations on Obama. Trump had them try to go after Biden by rember having fake people say Biden was corrupt pressuring foreign officials to lie.. he was impeached for such lies. Did't trump ask his people to have the IRS go after liberals?

BREAKING: Judge Aileen Cannon indicates that she might dismiss the classified documents case against Donald Trump due to selective prosecution. This comes after questioning Jack Smith's team on why no other President or Vice President in the United States has been charged under the Espionage Act for taking or keeping classified materials, a situation that involves 32 counts against Trump.

NOTE: The hearing in a Florida court is occurring just days after former Special Counsel Robert Hur confirmed that Joe Biden broke the law by willfully retaining classified documents and sharing them with his ghostwriter for a book from which he made at least $8 million. The judge appeared to question why there was one standard for Trump and another for all Presidents and Vice Presidents before him.

NOTE: While it's too early to conclude, based on the questioning, the judge does not seem convinced by many of the arguments presented by Jack Smith ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Malibu uninformed doesn't give his source, but he is 100% wrong. From the real world:

Judge denies one of two motions to dismiss Trump documents case hours after hearing
By Katrina Kaufman, Robert Legare

Updated on: March 14, 2024 / 6:08 PM EDT / CBS News

Fort Pierce, Florida — A federal judge in Florida on Thursday denied one of former President Donald Trump's motions to dismiss the case on his handling of classified documents, hours after he and his lawyers were in court to present their arguments.

Judge Aileen Cannon denied the motion which argued that the Espionage Act statute under which Trump was charged was unconstitutionally vague. She suggested in a brief ruling that this was a question that would be best answered in the course of a trial, and she left open the possibility that the questions related to the Espionage Act could be raised in connection with litigation about the instructions a jury would receive at the end of the trial.

Although the motion raised arguments that warranted "serious consideration," she said in the ruling, the resolution "depends too greatly on contested instructional questions about still-fluctuating definitions of statutory terms/phrases as charged, along with at least some disputed factual issues as raised in the Motion."

Trump contended in his filing that there are many open legal questions about the law known as the Espionage Act, which he has been accused of violating. Trump's lawyers argue the unsettled legal questions amount to an unconstitutional vagueness.

Smith rebutted this claim, writing in court papers, "Trump's vagueness argument is meritless. Trump is charged with the unauthorized possession and willful retention of national defense information. The statute's prohibitions are clear."
