This video is from the day before the Patagonia Kite Wing Festival on Maui this past weekend. The kid on the orange F-One wing is Christopher MacDonald. Comment says he is from the Gorge. I am not a big follower of competitions, but I watched the wing freestyle from the beach and he won the freestyle and finished second behind Alan (fastest man on a foil) Cadiz in the race category. Check it out, so smooth, effortless:

I'm in awe. Even as a kid, whether it was football, volleyball, gymnastics, three-dimensional dirt biking, then windsurfing, I've never had that kind of spatial orientation. By the time a WSing freestyler is three hand- or foot-moves or one backwinded- or switchstance-whatever in just describing a move, I'm completely Lost In Space. Meanwhile, that kid just does it. Just think ... he has 50 years like that, plus an exponential learning rate, to look forward to!

I am so stoked that the Bridge of the Gods contest has added a wing freestyle division for kids this year.

https://www.facebook.com/botgkitefestival/

It has long been a venue for up-and-coming kiters to get noticed and should be a great showcase for the new crop of talented junior wingers.
