San Luis Res 2022 3/30/2022
Thought I would try it today as the charts said there would be something.
Also the wind seemed to be increasing in the late morning.
Started rigging about 1 pm it looked good then .
Put up 5.7 by the time I was on the water it had dropped a lot..
and basically it was a decreasing situation all afternoon so mostly
a slogfest.
Water was super high it looked beyond 224 although the depth site
was indicating 222 all afternoon.
One other guy trying to do something from the Mediros side.
Looked like he wasn't doing to well either.
On line water level sensor stuck at 223 since 19:00 on the 29th.

After the first hour. Kind of gusty .
My own personal lake there were maybe three cars

5/26/2022 It was windy .
4.2 all afternoon with pretty much building through the day.
A little gusty to very filled in at times. (gusts not sharp though)
I was the only one there at 12:30 then wing dinger tried it
he didn't stay long maybe because the water level was kind of low.
Sunny showed up about 2:30 and worked his way down on sale sizes
Then Adrian showed up around 3:30 or 4 looked like he was pretty powered
on a 4.2 also .

Looks like you picked the right day though .
I went yesterday based on the charts and got skunked.
Saw some on on the mediros side to .
Just slogged and went home.
San Luis has not delivered a lot of days this year.
Two more arrived around 4 looks like there wasn't anything useable
till 7 pm I left around 4:30
It's raining this morning in Santa Cruz lightly but still.

might try it today 6/8/2022
Chart and gradiants are favorable at least the 3km is.
But the charts have been bombing for me lately.
Not to good up and down the weeds are defiantly here now
at 222.5 . Not quite breaking the surface but there are slick
spots where it's close mostly down the middle.

Government sensor says water level is 214 which is way lower than i've ever seen before. Unsailable at that level. Can anyone confirm this?

I called them on that topic today
Also sent them an email when it first happened.
They know there is a problem with there sensor .
Today's manual measurement was 221.5
They have a new senor on order.
Today might be a good day for wind there at least the best chance in
a long time.
The front office at San Luis said things were normal .
Yeah the sensor said it had dropped 7 ft in one hour.
On hour around the 22nd

I had a great May there but was out of the country for most of June. Because of the unreliable sensor, early weed buildup & 2 hour drive I just figured wait until next season.
