'Jim Jordan Is a Traitor' Over Mark Meadows Texts, Says Fellow Congressman

Quote:
Democratic Representative Ruben Gallego has called Republican Representative Jim Jordan a "traitor to the Constitution." This comes after Jordan's office confirmed he sent a text to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows about rejecting Electoral College votes on January 6.

Gallego, who represents Arizona's 7th congressional district, told MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell on Wednesday that "a slow-moving coup" was still taking place.

These Dog Breeds Are the Worst for Home Insurance
Jordan's office admitted that a text released this week by the House Select Committee investigating January 6 had been sent by him but also said it was a forwarded message that the committee had truncated.

The message released by the committee was originally attributed to an unnamed lawmaker and read: "On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all."

Gallego told MSNBC: "Look, Jim Jordan is a traitor. He's a traitor to the Constitution of the United States. He has been a traitor to the Constitution of the United States for quite a while, and now we actually have it in text."

"But we shouldn't be surprised and why is anybody surprised?" he said, saying Jordan had lied on the floor of the House of Representatives about the 2020 election.

"My biggest issue isn't Jim Jordan. My issue is the fact that there's a lot of people out there that are not taking this seriously," Gallego went on. "The fact that there is a slow-moving coup that is happening right now all over this country that are led by the Jim Jordans and other people."

No person or entity has come within one percent of the deadly (to individual victims and to the whole country) than the "progressive" left and its absolutely insane and deadly policies. Riots: 574 and counting. Murder rates up 100 to 800%. Thousands of cops killed and/or crippled. Carjackings and home invasions becoming relatively common. Flash looting mobs closing stores and whole business districts. Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens storming into your neighborhoods bearing gifts including untreated Covid, HUGE economic drains, machetes, a lifetime of dependence on YOUR taxes, and much more. Racism skyrocketing because it's PROMOTED from state and federal governments right down to kindergartens. An entire political party, especially its senile* faux president, swirling down an outhouse toilet because informed people see all that and MUCH more.

* I can see it now; Film at 11. Head Puppet What Am
In Charge Joe Biden steps out of his plane or limo, takes a look at the destruction in Kansas, and says "WOW! WTF happened here? Don't these people take ANY pride in the appearance of their community? Where are we ... in Haiti?

Then he faces away from the mic, and whispers way too loudly to an aide, "If these trailer trash can't spend some of our federal funds on garbage disposal, let's cut their federal aid."

Biden's aide whispers something into Biden's ear, at which Biden turns to the mic and says, "Oh. I hear you guys had a thunderstorm pass through. I'll get FEMA right on it." To his aide: "Who's this FEEMA guy?"

Finally Mrs. FEEMA, apparently the world's leading expert on AGW and climatology, steps up to the mic and says (back to real life now, on the public record): "This tornado outbreak is due to global warming."

Never mind that the IPCC and NOAA cry bullshit on that proclamation.

Johnny did it first? No, but can't admit that Trump committed crimes. Long before he was POTUS. On the impact of global warming, a subject where Mikey's reading list is quite limited, there is this, from 2019, well before the Kentucky tornadoes:

Quote:
The US has recently experienced one of its worst tornado outbreaks of the past decade, with more than 500 reported over 30 days. The number so far this year is also more than 200 above average.

This has raised the question of what role, if any, climate change may have played in this unusually intensive period of tornadoes. While some have suggested that climate change is driving the above-average numbers, the scientific community has pushed back on these claims.

Scientists have relatively low confidence in detecting a link between tornado activity and climate change. They cannot exclude the possibility of a link; rather, the science is so uncertain that they simply do not know at this point.

What is clear is that there is no observable increase in the number of strong tornadoes in the US over the past few decades. At the same time, tornadoes have become more clustered, with outbreaks of multiple tornadoes becoming more common even as the overall number has remained unchanged. There is also evidence that tornado “power” has been increasing in recent years.

Oh, never mind.

Alaska man pleads guilty in voicemail threats to Sens. Murkowski, Sullivan

Quote:
An Alaska man who threatened to kill the state’s two U.S. senators in a series of voicemail messages last year pleaded guilty Monday to federal charges, prosecutors said.

Jay Allen Johnson, 65, of Delta Junction, pleaded guilty to two counts of threatening to murder a United States official in connection with voicemails left for Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan.

The Secret to Mastering the Hybrid Model In 2022
Each charge carries up to 10 years in prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Alaska said.

A request for comment from Johnson’s attorney was not immediately returned Tuesday afternoon.

Johnson left 17 threatening voicemails in all, prosecutors said.

Some of the voicemails threatened to kill or have an assassin kill Murkowski and Sullivan, Johnson admitted in a plea agreement.

The threats cited in court documents do not point to a clear motive. One message said he would burn the senator’s property “just like ... antifa,” according to a criminal complaint. Other messages threatened to use a .50-caliber firearm against the senators.

Johnson agreed to forfeit seven guns, which he is not allowed to own because of a past felony DUI conviction, according to court documents. He will also be subject to protective orders prohibiting contact with either lawmaker.

The number of threats to members of Congress increased in 2021 to around 9,600, U.S. Capitol Police Chief J. Thomas Manger has said.

In 2020, there were more than 8,000, he said. In 2017, the agency logged around 3,900 threats, NBC News has reported.

"The number has been going up steadily each year," Manger said at a Tuesday news conference.

Not all of the concerning statements made in phone calls, emails, and on social media or other forms rise to the level of crimes but they are investigated, he said.

Last month, federal judges handed down three-year prison sentences in cases involving threats to kill members of Congress.

A New York City man, Eduard Florea, was sentenced to almost three years for online statements threatening to kill Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga.

And a San Francisco area man, Robert Lemke, was sentenced to three years in prison for a number of threats that included to the brother of U.S. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y. Journalists were also targeted.

Jury Deliberates Over Kidnapping Plot Against Governor Gretchen Whitmer

Ajury in Michigan has finished the first day of deliberations in the trial of four men accused of plotting to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer without reaching a verdict.

Barry Croft Jr., Adam Fox, Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta are facing kidnapping conspiracy charges, accused of planning to attack and kidnap Whitmer, a Democrat, at her vacation home in September 2020. Two other men, Kaleb Franks and Ty Garbin, previously pleaded guilty to related charges.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Robert Jonker told jurors to "find a good distraction" after completing the first day of deliberations, with the aim of returning on Tuesday "fresh" and "ready to engage," according to the Associated Press.

Jurors reportedly returned to court once to ask Jonker for the definition of "weapon." The judge defined the word as "something that can be used to injure, kill or destroy someone or something" after consulting with the prosecution and defense lawyers.

Aside from the kidnapping conspiracy charges, three of the four defendants—Fox, Croft, and Harris—are facing charges of conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction. Additionally, Croft and Harris are charged with possession of an unregistered destructive device, while Harris alone is charged with possessing a semi-automatic assault rifle that wasn't registered to him.

The destructive device in question was allegedly a firework that Croft had altered by adding additional gunpowder and pennies that could be used as shrapnel before wrapping it in electrical tape, according to the court documents.

During the trial, Franks testified that discussions had taken place about using additional weapons to aid in the planned kidnapping. He said that Croft discussed attacking Whitmer's security team using a "grenade launcher that he had" and by "mounting a machine gun" onto the top of a truck.

The alleged plot was motivated by Whitmer's "tyrannical" COVID-19 public health restrictions, according to Franks. In separate testimony, Garbin said that the would-be kidnappers had hoped the abduction would serve as the "ignition" for a new civil war and potentially prevent the election of President Joe Biden.

Proud Boys follower indicted on charges of threatening Biden, Harris and SC judges

Quote:
A follower of the Proud Boys extremist group has been indicted by a federal grand jury for threatening the lives of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and two South Carolina federal judges.

Eric Rome, 33, an inmate in the S.C. Department of Corrections, also sent letters he said contained anthrax to the U.S. Supreme Court and a federal courthouse in Portland, Oregan, the eight-count indictment said.

Rome made some of the threats by telephone while an inmate in the S.C. Department of Corrections, the indictment said.

Rome, who is being held at Kirkland Correctional Institution, is serving a multi-year prison sentence for firearms violations and armed robbery. He is eligible to leave prison in 2030.

“Our intent is war on the federal government and specifically the assassination of the feds Marxist leaders Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,” Rome said on a voicemail left at a Department of Corrections phone.

Those two officials deserve punishment because of “the theft of the last presidential election, promoting critical race theory in our schools, the vax mandate and using Marxist media outlets, notably CNN, to brainwash our citizens,” the indictment quoted Rome as saying.

“Make America Great Again,” Rome said at the end of that message, quoting a Pro-Trump slogan.

The indictment also mentioned current federal Judge Joe Anderson, saying “we” — the Proud Boys and the Aryan Brotherhood — require him “to vacate the bench immediately; otherwise we will execute the old man and post videos of his death on as many web platforms as we can.”

The other federal judge was not identified in the indictment.

Anderson declined comment.

The Proud Boys are a far-right white nationalist organization. More than three dozen of its members, including its leader Enrique Tarrio, have been indicted on charges connected to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

The Aryan Brotherhood is a 20,000-member white supremacist prison gang, according to the South Poverty Law Center.

In September 2020, during a nationally-televised debate with then presidential candidate Biden, former President Donald Trump mentioned the Proud Boys, telling them to “stand back and stand by.”

Maximum penalties for each of the eight counts against Rome are five and 10 years in prison.

This is a developing st
