How many times have you heard these gems? Often on the same day.

You should have been here yesterday.

Maybe if we wait a bit longer, the wind will come up just like yesterday.

Ain't that the truth,

and additionally:

"you should have been here this morning"
"you should have been here an hour ago"
"you should have been here 15 minutes ago"

and in the wait a bit arena:

"I'll give it a beer"
"I'll give it a couple of beers"
"I'm happy with the way things are" ;*)

Are you saying that to others or are they saying it to you?

I believe Andy Brandt of ABK says that. Do you know if he coined it or adopted it? And if adopted, did you coin it? Or is it from sailing folk long afore windsurfing?

You know windward, I have never asked Andy if he coined the phrase or inherited it. I have always just assumed Andy coined it, just like his "bad habits" of windsurfing. I guess that is something I will have to find out.

“All your stuff, every time. Every time, all your stuff”

I believe PeconicPuffin posted this one at some point? The meaning is to bring all of your equipment to each windsurfing session. I now say it to myself out loud when thinking of leaving something behind. Three benefits: (1) you have equipment if the wind blows harder or softer than forecast, (2) you have spares for something that breaks, (3) you have equipment to loan to a fellow windsurfer suffering from (1) or (2) .... almost a ‘love thy neighbor’ kinda thing!

Ha! LOL. I like these and will use to make myself feel better.
