Based on the photos - the Chinooks' do not have the rough surface and no drilling burrs. Chinook must be molding tendons in a form with the holes. So no, these knock-offs are not from the same factory floor. |

Maybe. But to make a hole in rubber it is not drilled. Instead a sharp edge tube-like borer is used. |

Because available locally (yes!) I tried a Bic tendon. Well so far it's been outlasting any other brand! I'm going onto 1.5 years and it only has a slight crack in it near a screw hole.
