Contact Tim at info@ezzy.com about your mast question. My thought is a Ezzy mast for a Ezzy sail. That said Ezzy masts were made by by Nolimitz for a while. If your mast is also a 2005 it might be time to replace it. Nothing worse than a broken mast in a new sail. |

Thanks! Yes, I'll ask Tim.
The plan is to see if new 6.5 Lion is compatible with Original Skinny 430 I already have. The mast was made in 2012 and wasn't used much.
It seems pretty close to 430 RDM from Ezzy. If not I'll get the Ezzy mast. No problem
.
2005 mast I used with 6.5 Infinity was 460 SDM Fiberspar. It wasn't ideal but not bad either.
This is actually interesting.
2005 6.6 Infinity required 460 mast +14 cm extension
6.5 Lion needs 430 mast + 25 (up to 2 cm extension
Quite a difference in the luff and the shape overall. |

Also, keep in mind that a 430 is notably softer than a 460. If you are a bigger guy, a softer mast isn't always great, especially when it comes to using RDMs. You might want to cover that when contacting Ezzy. |

Thanks!
I'm a small guy. 65 kg and 168cm tall
Nevertheless, 430 is actually the recommended mast for new 6.5 Lion |

Have you tried the Ezzy Cheetah. Its a very good no can free ride sail.I prefer it to the Lion In the 5.5 and 6.5/7.0 sizes. Very good low end power and top end range. Its easy to rig. Also you don't get camber wear on your masts.. Just a thought |

Thanks! Yes, I did think about it. Especially that Cheetah is positioned as quite deep profile no cam sail.
The cams do help here due to specifics of the conditions. Very funky lake winds. |
