I just got done filming two days with the clew mount. Clipped it on one boom, duct taped it and then onto the other boom for the next day. Super quick. Does waste tape, can use velcro instead. Image is also less obstructed with a great view.
Everything lines up well, no messing around, stable, and there's no risk puncturing the sail with the back rod or worse! _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |

Hey Manuel
a friend and I are coming to cabarete june 5 to 19.
We are renting through Oli at Ion.
I saw you there a few summers back taking your gear out.
Do you know anyone that can video us on the water.
We also want to try to do forwards. do you know anyone interested in working with us on it.
Last thing , which 360 camera would you recommend ?
the gopro max or insta 360 one x2? and should I get a waterproof housing to protect them further?
Do you have a whatsapp account? send me a PM
Thanks David |

Only used the hero 5 session up to 4k. Files get so large then.
Even in 960p with superview the quality is excellent and the angle lets us see quite a bit more than regular 16:9 footage. Plus the session is super light and tiny.
You could setup 2 cameras, one with flymount, one on the boom, the clew, etc.
Onboard cameras are fun and coupled with someone filming from the beach they make even more sense. They were a great learning tool.
As far as cabarete is concerned there are people with drones who can help as well as pro photographers. We have a Facebook group where one can look for help.
I'll pm you. _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |

My buddy bought a backpack pole mount somewhere online, not sure how it's working out for him. |
