1. Does anybody know what the technical (industry) name is for a vent screw plug? e.g. phillips 8mm ss (whateverthedamnheadshapeiscalled) screw

2. Does anybody know where I can buy them? Bigwinds is apparently out and Windance only has slot head aluminum, no phillips, no stainless.

I can offer this related tidbit: The o-ring is a 8mm ID x 12mm OD x 2mm width O-ring and can be bought on Amazon in packs of 50 for about $6.

In a pinch, and IIRC, a 5/16 bolt -- probably fine thread -- fits perfectly. Easy enough to find out.

There are a couple available: https://www.google.com/search?psb=1&tbm=shop&q=windsurf+vent+screw

Definitely get the Philips head version if you can find it.

The Chinook flat head version needs a really wide flat screwdriver to avoid stripping the head. I wouldn't recommend it.

I keep a couple of pennies in the small storage area on the back of my harness.
