What ever board you get, make sure it has an adjustable foil track mount.
You need to be able to move the foil to balance your sail to your weight to the foil lift to your foot straps to your riding style to your power source Wing or sail. Every guy here that started foiling on a multi use board eventually went to a dedicated board. The progression for the wing guys is crazy. Starting on any thing that floats to 125/140 wing boards to tiny sinker boards in a year. If winging is your goal get a wing board and proper size wing foil for your weight. Its like a swap meet here everyday with guys selling or trading wing boards... |

Thanks to all for your thoughts and experience. I've decided to get a SS Levitator 150, as I'm heavy and a slow learner (not enough TOW). Any board that does more than one job makes compromises. And an adjustable mast box makes sense. Andy at Wind-NC has been very generous with his time and experience.
