windsurf Lake Nacimiento?

We were invited to Lake Nacimiento for the second weekend of August. Since weve havent seen much wind (on the weekends) here in So Cal (Cabrillo) Im not sure we can do any worse. If youve sailed it can you provide some details on launches, obstacles, windsurf friendliness? It looks like Paso Robles gets wind in the afternoons, can we expect the same pattern at Nacimiento?

The lake sits down in a valley and the winds can be good & bad. Never tried sailing there but this is what Ive heard. Paso does get afternoon thermals but not sure if the lake does. Launch sites could be limited. If your friends have a boat to get you to the wind, that may be your best bet. To view the lake layout, mapquest, paso robles,ca big map, recenter on the lake and zoom.

With Cambria, Arroyo Laguna, & Cayucos on the coast, lake sailing is not so popular in this immediate vacinity. Also, Lake Lopez east of Arroyo Grande rocks.
