Yes, I wear knee pads. The board speed can be modified by letting go of the back hand and luffing the wing I figure. They've tightened restrictions some more today in Santa Clara county so I'm not likely to venture from my home for quite awhile Sad

Bert,

I used to skate windsurf at the parking lots in Bayland Park Sports Complex area and never got chased out of there.

I did get chased out of The Great Mall parking lot by security. They considered it skateboarding. Which they had rules about.

I heard the parking lot at Waddell is closed. Has anyone sailed there this past week or so? Is it cool to park on the roadside above and hike down?

Closed. I saw some folks out, but don't know if they were ticketed.

Heard 3rd Ave lot also closed.

Nija night sessions are all the rage now. Along with my face mask, I'm gonna need some night vision goggles!

So far, I have not been chased out of the parking lot at the end of my street while skateboarding.

We will see what happens when I set up the skate sail board...

You might check the ikiteboard site since it's
about 90 percent kiters at Waddell now.
I saw Peter Schiebel (Caution Kites)and talked to him he was
headed up there yesterday.

A little time out at coyote today it was nice as there was no jet exhaust fumes. Parked in the industrial complex and walked in.

Good to see Coyote is still a reasonable option. Crissy East Beach parking is closed. Folks (mostly kiters) are either biking to beach or walking from nearby Marina district with their gear. Trekking to the beach with windsurf gear looks to be a real challenge. One thing that is not helping right now are people clustered together and hanging out after kiting. If we want to maintain what little temporary access we have to these spots right now, I'd strongly recommend to get in, get out, and be gone.

Walking the kit can be done in your unzipped wetsuit with board in one hand [22 lbs.] and sail, boom, mast in one package with other hand.
Not great for long distance, but ok from Buchanan St. to Crissy.
