|
|
It appears that more often than not when contacting a classified posting for gear that it has been sold or there is no reply.
How about clearing it all out and let those with actual gear for sale to relist it.
I'm sure the number of listings would be cut in half or more!
Oh and since 99% of windsurfers have smart phones with cameras make it a requirement to post an image of the gear. Having to contact the poster for an image is ridiculous! _________________ Sponsored by Starboard and The Loft |

For someone using Mr. Hankey as his icon, this is actually not a bad idea. I would propose making this idea a reality on Jan 1, 2020, so that full disclosure could be made and people had ample time to be informed of the change. It's also probably the slowest time for selling gear; hopefully impacting the fewest users. _________________ Kansas City |

I thought the posts were deleted after so many months
It’s the responsibility of the poster to delete if sold. Ahh common sense.
Since they are free, it’s hard for me to complain. _________________ K4 fins

What I don't get is that every ad has two options. The default is that the ad will run for 30 days. The 2nd is to change the ad to run for 90 days.
So, what is the point in these options if not that the ad will be deleted by iW at the end of the term.
Seems to me the problem here is that iW is not following its own rule. |

Read 'em. Then compare them to what goes on. |

Ok, I read um. Only thing I can find that you may be referring to is item 15.
If that is the case then clearly you misunderstood the point in my comment. I was not addressing iW. My comment was to help others realize that when it comes to a classified ad that has not been deleted it is most likely due to iW establishing a deletion date therefore not requiring the seller to come back to remove the listing. Hence a lot of outdated ads.
My comment was not directed at iW. It’s to address user expectations with the given rules. |

The #15 mentioned is a forum guideline under posting a classified ad.
Reading #17 , in part states , posts debating these rules ‘may’ be deleted.
Further specifics are if you don’t like it here, take your self elsewhere.
Also write the iw team .
Clearly violated are # 1 2 5 6 11 12 14 15 and 17,on too many occasions to mention. Me now in clear violation of #17.
How hard is it to delete your classified ad once sold or ancient history ? _________________ K4 fins
