It dropped as soon as I did one run on the 4.7
Put up a 5.6 and a larger board and it dropped more.
Waited around about half and hour and it started to come
back . It was OK on the 5.6 most of the afternood but not
filled in till later switched back 4.7 about 5 pm and it was good
for that.

There haven't been weeds on the surface but they are reaching
up from the bottom . If you looked at the lake you wouldn't see
any slick spots. Came away with less weeds on the sail and none
on the boom today water level was up .5 to 1 ft from where it has
been.

Possible wind starting Thursday!!

.DISCUSSION...
A few thunderstorms forming over the sierra this afternoon.
Otherwise clear skies across central CA. Temperatures running a
couple of degrees warmer at this time than yesterday. The morning
sounding at Oakland showed unstable conditions with high mid level
lapse rates and high available moisture with PWs over an inch.
The strongest thunderstorm occurred over the Tulare Co mountains
helped by a weak disturbance moving through the S Valley. Mid
level flow out of NNE will help bring some mid level debris clouds
into the valley in the afternoon and evening. Otherwise storm
activity should quickly diminish in the early evening. High
pressure along the west coast will ridge into CA Tuesday bringing
a dry and warm trend through mid week. A thunderstorm can not be
ruled out over the sierra tomorrow afternoon but will more
isolated than today due to the ridge building S into central CA.

Models in good agreement in bringing a trough into the Pacific
northwest on Wednesday then moving the system through the Great
Basin Thursday and Friday. This will result in a cool NW flow
across central CA for the latter part of the work week and into
the weekend. The onshore flow will be on the increase Thursday
across the central CA interior. Winds will likely strengthen and
become gusty Thursday afternoon especially through and below the
mountain passes along west side mountains of the SJ valley and the
Kern County mountains and desert.

Would you remind me what is the "correct" wind direction range for San Luis?

I assume this morning's 25mph SE is not good?

Thanks,
fxop
