I'm on market for thruster fin set for new board. What is your opinion on those three fin companies? Which company would you prefer? Why?

Want to sell some of them?

I had never hold K4 in my hands, on pictures they look like cheap yellow plastic something. What they are made of?

https://www.k4fins.com/about-the-fins/

https://www.k4fins.com/2017/11/24/fin-speed-testing-update/

I have never seen any company that has shown a test like this.

The fins are a composite plastic, search you tube for K4 fins.
Plastic in this case is like calling a Corvette a Chevrolet.

I don’t have any fins that I want to part with.

Up front, I'll admit to knowing nothing about the multi-fin revolution these days, but I have been using OO Tri-fins since 1996, so I think that I've got a point of view.

When it really comes down to it, look to the pros and what they've got. Sure, there's a lot of marketing in the picture, but if pros are using after-market fin designs and winning with them, you know there's some credibility to it.

Ride what the best folks do, even if it's only the top guys at your local spots. That's what we did as surfers. Always going with the best, especially if it was local. I've always loved the custom scene, even in windsurfing.

Hmm ... K4 claims their fins so great because they are very flexible.
MUFins claims their fins so great because they are not flexible.
Both have long list of pros using them.
WTF?

They're all good brands- you can't go wrong. If you're looking for specific recommendations, though, your question is really open ended......

What board do you have, where are you going to sail it (what type of wind/water conditions), and how do you like your boards to feel? Further helpful info would be how much you weigh and if you like to sail over or under powered... Schlog and surf? Windy side-on or side-off waves? Or mostly bump and jump use? Got weeds? Want your board to be settled and controlled or alive and free? Want to feel like you're on a soft snowboard or would you prefer steel roller coaster tracks when the board is on it's rail?

Yep, it's hard to know, and if you have a Quad, it's probably different than
if you have a Thruster set-up (3 fins). I found with my Quad that I liked
the front fins to be squishy and soft, but the rear fins to be rigid. In a
thruster config, I liked thrusters as rigid as as could get them, but in that
kind of config the thrusters were much smaller with respect to the center
fin.

These days I just stick with whatever Hinde puts in his OOs (since that's
what I'm riding) but........... I'm on BPFs mailing list, and you can't
fault those guys for on the water research (or at least the advertising
representation of such ;*) ). They are shooting themselves in the foot with
the way those K4s look (maybe they should put some little cross hatched carbon fiber looking things in that fin and color the fin semi transparent red or green), but they seem to work really well.

The thing that ultimately drove me away from multi-fin experimentation
was the expense. Experimenting with 1 fin is somewhat costly, but
experimenting with 4 is even more so, and the variables go up
geometrically. I'd rather go for a ride than twidget.

K4,
More than one way to bake a cake

About $70 delivered set if 3.

Leon stiffest 17 , 13/14 Stubby

Stubby 18 and 12

Rocket 17.5or18.5 12

Option is the Ezzy series, which have 12 3 degree of toe in, asymmetrical.

The discussion , is about a thruster setup. Not quad.first post.

The board and intended purpose all account into the equation.
