So you're bothered that I'm particularly passionate and knowledgeable about the topic, offered lots of facts and opinions and suggestions which the OP and others asked for to consider, enjoy writing, and spent a lot of my time trying to help another sailor shorten his learning curve? Please enlighten me: How is that something to complain about?

If isobars did have his own forum page, would anyone choose to go there? For him, I'm sure that it's much easier to insert himself here over and over again repeatedly leaving his mark. Certainly, a much better opportunity to mix it up with folks, and ultimately talk about himself.

Pretty sure Isobars can help with my no-handed, arched-back, back loop. If not, I bet he can talk up a storm on the internet.

If you take away people like isobars, forums will get boring. Forum is a place for discussion. If you don't like it - nobody forces you to read.

I hope that in the future there will be a standard option in every forum to filter out specific people out of your own tape. In such case, you would tune out all isobars's posts - if you don't like them. But others will continue reading all they want, isobars included. I'm curious, would you use that filtering feature, #9?

Given that isobars has so much to say, he could help the community by organizing his thoughts in a personal web site (isobarswindsurfing.com isn't taken yet), and referring to his publications from this forum. A matching Facebook page (like Isobars's windsurfing news tape) would complement the web site as well. With all that said, he should continue contributing here as well. My 2 cents...

It's not about taking anyone away.

If you go to the supermarket, and someone else's kid is throwing a tantrum, you have to live with it. Unfortunately, that's life. Filtering folks out isn't going to work, because you can't limit life to only what you want to hear. The screaming kid is always there whether you like it or not.

To paraphrase Donald Rumsfeld:

You go to the internet with the forums you have, not the forums you wish you had.

#9

You must have HAD a inkling that he would defend himself.

From the 'MEAN GIRLS' side of the forum( if you don't know what the Mean Girls IS'. You need to go back)

I very seldom read an entire post of his, some are a chapter of WAR N PEACE

I FIND that someone who has such a vast knowledge didn't know what a slot box is or how different mini vans have different concepts of fold away.

That he has an opinion on any such subject, and IS WILLING and compelled to share, and seldom sees the other side.

The knowledge he shares actually the lack of, some here think he must be genius.

This thread is exactly what feeds him
It's all you fault 9
