|
|
Hi all,
I am looking to plug up the centerfin (Power) box in my board if I want to use the board for planing rather than beginner sailing. The easiest would be to have a beat up fin that I could just cut off and end up with a perfectly fitting plug. Unfortunately, I don't have any of those lying around.
Does anyone know if plugs/adapters are available from anywhere? Otherwise I am thinking of shaping something out of balsa and then glassing over it and then inserting a nut. But that's a lot of work and I'd like to get advice on an easier option.
Obviously, if somebody has a wrecked fin lying around, I am happy to pay for shipping! Would put it to good use!
Thanks. Nikita. |

Bondo and saran wrap- stuff the box as full as possible with bondo- using the plastic as a barrier.. it'll cure in 10 minutes- pull it out- add the nut - then wax the plug- put it back in and shave to fit the bottom... easy as cake! |

Contractor's aluminum tape will stick to bottom of boards more than 10 sailing days, if the board bottom surface is clean. |
