Stay out of the swim area. I know it was blowing ssw, straight on the beach, but suck it up and make an extra tack. People who have been sailing at Kalmus for 25 years were sailing inside the swim buoys. Life guards blowing whistles all afternoon long.
Use your heads people, Kiters lost access to 40 miles of beach this week.

Not just a regional issue, but here on LI yesterday it was jet skiers who were driving in and out of swimming areas and right through the middle of several dozen windsurfers. One of them came at me head on at one point, as if he thought we were playing chicken.
