|

Let the games begin!!! The 6th annual East Coast Windsurfing Festival will be brought to you by the new East Coast Windsurfing Association and is on for Long Island. The dates are June 14th and 15th and signup has begun!! If you haven't been to an ECWF before, it's more about fun and less about competition. Of course there will be tons of racing and freestyle, but no-one really cares who is coming in first. And with the growing popularity of inflatable SUPs I'm sure we'll have even more carnage than usual around the course So bring whatever gear you've got and come race with a bunch of other people who have no idea what they are doing..... For more detailed info about the Long Island event in June go to www.ECwindfest.com
For info about the East Coast Windsurfing Association go to www.ecwindfest.org
See you at the beach,
Mike Burns

We just got the permit, so it's official now: the ECWF Cape Cod will take place on September 13 and 14, 2014 at Kalmus Beach in Hyannis.
Can't wait to see you all in Long Island next week! If the wind is light and Pete races in the 7.5 division, it will be really interesting to see if his D2 or Cat has a chance against Dani on his Phantom 320 . |

phantom 320 or phantom 377/380?
I don't think either of them will have a chance if Kurt V. sails his Phantom 380 if Dani has a Phantom 320. |

Depends on Kurt's weight. Dani is about 130 lb of pure muscle. Hard to beat for regular guys who weigh 50% more if everyone uses a 7.5. I was able to keep him at bay for a while, but now that he's learned how to really use his toys, I don't have a chance. But the D2's seemed out of reach for everyone two years ago. |
