I really enjoy reading about Berkley and ti, pt isabell etc.. I escaped the bay area back in 03. Windsurfing was such a adventure back then.
I use to own a 6.0 and 110 liter board. Now its 4.2 and a small wave board
The gorge is great but sometimes I miss the north tower and GG bridge. |

Yesterday I was hoping that Tomales would kick in as the forecast had predicted but it was a blown call. The wind at T.I. more than made up for it. I went out at 3:15 on a 4.5 and it got better as the afternoon passed.
It looks like today's forecast for Tomales is blown again. I hope T.I. makes up the difference. |

I'm doing about the same, waiting for Tomales to get to 20, maybe tomorrow? Looks kind of weak everywhere in the bay 18 to maybe 20 3:50pm.

3rd Ave has had decent wind since Sunday late afternoon. It's seems to be getting better each day so far this week and the ebb has been in the afternoon to boot. Sail average 5.0m, so all good here. _________________ Carve the face! |

Sailed 5.7. Mostly not enough sail to waterstart, something also maybe wrong with how I rigged. This is my most used sail, and I'm guessing that it might now need a bit more mast extension to obtain sufficient downhaul.
Given that there were holes but no especially strong gusts, I decided to practice harness, which I have not used much and am not yet especially comfortable with.
That practice was useful. At least I always ended up on top of the sail rather than immediately under it, and somehow managed to avoid damaging either the sail or myself.
Several other sailors were out, and several kites.
I had intended to sail in today's higher winds, but work precluded that. |

The guys at Iwindsurf must feel like the boy who cried wolf. They called for wind at Tomales all week and there was nothing. And then today they call for wind and almost nobody shows up. There were two of us out. I was on a 3.5 the other gentleman struggled with a 4.5. Very gusty and very satisfying after the long wait. |
